I was only 26 years old when I broke into this profession and had never held a job where I needed to work with my hands or be mechanically inclined. But what I lacked in know-how, I made up for by being humble. I arrived on time for every job, even if all I was good for that day was cleaning up the job site or handing my boss a tool when he needed it. I hauled all the heavy stuff and never complained. I worked hard, and I wanted to learn. My boss at the time could see that, and had my attitude been any different, I’m positive he would have kicked me to the curb.
As I’m sure you can imagine, we’ve poured that same dedication, work ethic, accountability, and Christian values into being the best business owner we can be. Initially, it was just me, a truck, and a day planner. But Laurie and I had each other the entire time. We were each other’s rock.
Couple that with our family background and work ethic, and we had the foundation upon which to grow something special. All we had to do was go do it. It was that way when we owned Southern Comfort Mechanical in Lewisville. And even after we sold that business in 2017 to
take a step back and recharge, we knew one day we’d come right back to where we belong.
That’s what we have now with A&A Air. Named after our sons, Austin and Andrew, this is the reputation and legacy we want to pass on to them. If that means we don’t charge you simply for helping flip the breaker to your furnace or stop to have a glass of sweet tea with
you on your front porch, then that’s what we do.
It’s a conscious choice for us not to stray from our values, and we can honestly say we can look back and not think of a single thing we’d do differently. We could get big and let other people run the company, but we’ve always wanted to keep it where we are still those hands-on owners you know, like, and trust!
Thank you for choosing us!
